Visiting the Farm

We regularly offer events and programs that educate people on practical land-based skills. These events are open to the public and can range from a day of learning how to harvest potatoes to an intro to herbal salve making.

We always subsidize the cost of these events to make sure that they are accessible to all in the community. Sign up for our newsletter or follow us on social media to be the first to know about upcoming events. Space is limited and spots usually fill up fast.

Indigenous Clam Bake Workshop 2021

Hosted by Indigenous educators and Movement Ground Farm CSA Members, Jonathan Perry (Aquinnah Wampanoag) and Leah Hopkins (Narragansett), this workshop focused on teaching about traditional and modern subsistence practices of Coastal Woodland Native peoples. The educators lead a hands-on workshop on harvesting and preparing bounties from the sea and land. We joined together in seaweed harvesting and building a traditional Wampanoag clambake, all while learning about local Indigenous histories, values, and knowledge of land-based practices.

Farm Visits.

If you are not a CSA member and would still like to come to visit the farm, you can make a request for a farm visit on our ‘Contact’ page. If you have a group or organization that would like to visit the farm, send us a request on our ‘Host an Event’ page under ‘Get Involved.’ Please give as many details as possible of what you hope to get out of a farm visit. We look forward to hearing from you and to being with you on the land.
